Serve

Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God's grace.

Opportunities to Serve

School Supply Drive

July
During the month of July we will collect supplies for local elementary schools. Specific brands needed are Crayola crayons, Elmer’s glue sticks, Ticonderoga #2 pencils, 8.5x11 copy paper, and backpacks. Drop off in the shopping cart on the courtyard on Sundays during July or in the church office during the week.

Eich Cleanup Day

Saturday, July 26, 8:00 am - 12:00 pm
Help clean up Eich Middle School campus before the kids come back in August. Bring garden tools, hats, and gloves. For more information, contact Alan Gartner.

Deacons' Food Drive

Second Sunday of the Month
The shopping cart will be on the courtyard to collect your donations for the Deacons' Food Closet on the second Sunday of every month. Items most needed are peanut butter, jelly, boxed cereal,
1-2lb bags of rice, and these canned goods: corn, green beans, fruit, soup, mixed vegetables. Contact Dick Gold for more information.

Centerpoint Deacons give out free food to the community on Mondays from 1:00-3:00pm.

Blue Apron Crew

Sunday Mornings
Centerpoint's Blue Apron Crew is a hospitality team that serves coffee and food items on a Sunday morning. We need help for the months with five Sundays—June, August, and November in 2025.  Contact Vicki Miller for more information.

Acres of Hope

Ongoing
Centerpoint is excited to expand its relations with Acres of Hope and would like to put together a team of interested individuals who are willing to assist them with ongoing maintenance needs at their Auburn Women and Children Residency Campus. Types of service work include, but are not limited to: landscaping, painting, electrical repair, cleaning, and general maintenance. If you would like to be a part of this, or for more information, please contact Joni Phinney.

Summer Sunday Teachers

June - August
Summer's almost here, and we're gearing up for an amazing time in Kids Ministry! We're seeking passionate volunteers to step into our classrooms and share God's love with our children. If you love working with children and want to help them grow in their faith, consider teaching in one of our classrooms. Your commitment, even for a few weeks, makes a huge impact. For more information, please contact our Sunday Kids Coordinator, Lizzie Souza.

Craft for a Cause

August 1, 7:00 - 8:30 pm
Create items for families being served by our local and global mission ministries. Our guest speaker is Suzi Smagacz with Hope Alive!. Snacks and craft items will be provided ($5 suggested donation). We need crafters to help teach a craft. Contact Lizzy Battenfield for information or to volunteer.

Gathering Inn

October, November, or January
Centerpoint hosts our homeless neighbors from the Gathering Inn monthly, providing dinner and a place to sleep. We need hosts to cook or purchase a meal on October 5, November 9, and January 4. Join with some friends or your small group to serve together. Contact Elvia Gonzalez for more information.

Home Handyman Team

Ongoing
If you are interested in helping seniors with minor home repairs (2-3 hours), contact Dick Gold for more information on how to get involved.
