Our goal is to provide age-appropriate curriculum in a blended program of academics and learning through play.
Academics
The Children will have introduction to letters and sounds through active play, development of writing skills using fine-motor and pre-writing activities, and exposure to phonics and writing. We strive to meet the Kindergarten Readiness requirements of today’s classrooms
Language Arts
Children are learning important language skills when read to as part of a group. We focus on concepts of printed text and recognizing a title and author of a book. Children begin to understand that letters form words, words form sentences, which makes a story. They begin recognizing main characters, understanding the concept of a story, and predicting the outcome.
Science & Math
Children are fascinated by watching reactions and effects of science experiments. Weighing and measuring items are part of math for them. Building with blocks teaches spatial relations, stability, and balance. Counting and math skills are also learned through play along with sequencing and sorting.
Open Ended Art
We focus on this form of art where it is more about the process than the outcome of the end product. Painting with a brush or other object helps develop fine-motor skills.
Dramatic Play
Children who are active in pretend play are usually more cooperative, more willing to share and have larger vocabularies. Children will act out a range of emotions when playing pretend, developing an understanding of the world around them.
Spirituality
Children learn that they are wonderfully made by God through Bible lessons. They learn compassion through prayer for each other and to be thankful for their families.
Playtime
Outdoor play refines children's gross-motor skills and creates opportunities for social development. We offer a full-size basketball gym on hot or rainy days.
Circle Time
Children learn numbers, letters, and counting skills. Self-control and listening skills are developed.
Music & Movement
Children learn music by listening and imitating. Music helps children develop speech and vocabulary.
Free Play & Exploration
Snack
Teachers create the classroom environment where children have the freedom to choose among different manipulatives to expand their learning
Snack time is an opportunity for children to learn social skills as they enjoy time together. We accommodate children with food allergies. Our classrooms do not allow peanut or tree nut products.
